Vons Deals 8/11 – 8/17
Last Updated: 8/14 at 11:54am PST
If you’re new to shopping with coupons at Vons,
please read my simple, “How To Shop at Vons” guide before heading out!
| These prices and deals are pulled from my local (Southern CA, Ventura County) VONS weekly ad where one “like” coupon up to 50¢ will double per transaction. Your prices may be slightly different if you are shopping at another Safeway Family Store. Please consult the Vons flyer for a full list of sale items, as not every item is listed here.
Using Vons in-ad coupons: There is a minimum $10 grocery purchase required before you can use a Vons store coupon. Minimum is after club card savings is applied but before manufacturer coupons! There is usually a limit to how many products may be purchased with an in-ad coupon. These limits are per household, per DAY. |

Wow you are amazing!!!!
You took that far beyond what I came up with.
How about using the $1 off produce from the buy5 save $5 book. My store manager confirmed that it is a straight $5 minimum purchase not a $5 produce purchase.
Thank you so much for all your hard work. You make me look at Von's in a whole new way.
Gee, and I thought it was just an "eh" week — thanks for all the great matchups. I've been Friday and t oday, so I think they just assign me a parking place
I used the $1 produce coupon on the avocado idea from last week with $5 min. purchase and my store too said it wasn't $5 of produce. I found the booklets on a display stand with the same picture as the booklet in a container attached to the sign.
And tons of MDA booklets.
Thanks Jess and Dee
The Catalinas?????????? Why are they printing again. I know about the $4 off wyb selected products, but I wasn't sure where the Catalinas were from. Anyone???? Thanks for your hard work.
Laura: I'm not quite sure I understand your question.
Most Catalinas are put out by manufacturers, in this case, the ones listed above happen to overlap with the store sale of Buy 4, save $4. A Catalina is triggered when you purchase a participating product/s.
Does that help?
Hey Jess, I was browsing my ecoupons via shortcuts.com and found a $0.50/1 when you buy ONE BOX any flavor Nature Valley® Sweet & Salty Nut Granola, pairing with the 8/8 gm 0.50/1 mnf q that will double here in LA, making them free!!!! at ralphs you'd get them for 0.50/1 but nothing beats free!!! good week at vons and ok week at ralphs too, can't wait for match ups!!!
does anyone know if ecoupons are redeem per expiration date or randomly? for example, i have a $0.50/1 NV Sweet and salty ecoupon via shortcuts rxp 8/27, a $0.50/1 any NV granola bar exp 8/27 but I also have the 0.75/2 any NV granola bars exp 9/27… see my dilema? would the two individual 0.50/1 when buying 3 and end up forfeiting the scenario above save4wyb4, or would the register automatically use the correct ones… hmmmmm
In my experience, all of the e-coupons I have loaded for a certain product will all come off in a single transaction, regardless of how many of that product I buy.
So in your example, if you bought only ONE box of Natural Valley granola bars, the 50¢/1 e-coupon you loaded would come off.
BUT, if you picked up TWO boxes, that would then trigger the 75¢/2 e-coupon AND the 50¢/1 for a total of $1.25 in e-coupon discounts for the Nature Valley granola bars.
Does that make sense? It doesn't work every time, but most of the time they all come off.
My brain is completely fried over this deal LOL
Hopefully I answered your question?
I laughed at your "fried" comment — when I was cut and pasting the deals last night, I was sympathizing with you for having to figure all these scenarios and final price. You are *the* Queen of Vons!!!
Silly question, Does anyone know if you are able to reload an ecoupon once you've used it.?? For example if I want to buy Pillsbury Sweet Moments, and I use up my ecoupon, would I be able to go back on Cellfire and load it again, and again..
Not until they reset it, but they seem to do so about every 3 weeks. I lucked out this week 'cause they reset the MDA ones on Cellfire, and so I got paid to buy the Glad storage bags when combined with the paper coupon. Sweet! Jess will usually flag you when Cellfire resets or adds new coupons, so just subscribe to her daily email updates and/or "fan" her on Facebook — This Frugal Life.
I have been hearing that the catalinas haven't been printing in California. Can anyone confirm that it is working? TIA!
In San Diego County, and both Catalina deals worked like a dream!
I used both of Jess' scenarios for granola bars and the fruit snacks, and got $5.50 in Catalinas. I closed out that transaction, and then used 'em toward the remainder of my shop.
I also scored 'cause I had multiple Ecoupons loaded, and ended up getting 4 fruits snacks, 2 Fiber One, 1 Sweet 'n Salty and 2 boxes of Granola Bars with *ALL* free! In fact, they gave me 34 cents in change!
*And* also got the $5.50 in Catalinas!
Score-o-rama, thanks to Jess' great Vons list! Thank you! My personal best at Vons — 28 items and paid $6.95 — 96 percent off!!!
Harry: Oh yay! I'm so happy everything worked out as planned! I haven't yet made it over to Vons to verify the catalinas myself, so I'm psyched they are in fact working as reported.
You did AWESOME!
Thank you, Jess — I couldn't do it withoout your hard work.
Just wanted to also confirm the Tide Stain Release worked like a dream — totally free.
I am gonna blog on my shop ('cause I am still charting how far I can make that $100 gift card I won through Cellfire go at Vons). BUt the shop included the 32 oz of cheese, the Trans Ocean crab and the Buddig 12 oz turkey breast, so there were some high priced items in this shop.
Thank you again — I will say it again, "You are the queen of Vons!" And you have my deep appreciation (and, as you know, I tell all my friends)
I'm excited to see your post when you finish Harry, definitely send me the link!
Also, thanks for your kind words & as always thanks for spreading the word about This Frugal Life!!!
I didn't receive a catalina for the Progresso soup today…I bought 8 cans at 99 cents each and then doubled 4 50 cent coupons and used my ecoupon for a great deal! Just wondering if maybe I missed the date for the catalina? Does anyone have any more info on this? Could it be regional?
If you save two E coupons for the glad bags like I did you can get an over age using the MDA coupon with them they were 2.49 each this week and there are a number of e coupons for the pizzas save $1 on 5 and one on smart source that gave me a $1 overage too. i love free food.
