Vons Deals 9/1 – 9/7

If you’re new to shopping with coupons at Vons,
please read my simple, “How To Shop at Vons” guide before heading out!

These prices and deals are pulled from my local (Southern CA, Ventura County) VONS weekly ad where one “like” coupon up to 50¢ will double per transaction. Your prices may be slightly different if you are shopping at another Safeway Family Store. Please consult the Vons flyer for a full list of sale items, as not every item is listed here.

Using Vons in-ad coupons: There is a minimum $10 grocery purchase required before you can use a Vons store coupon. Minimum is after club card savings is applied but before manufacturer coupons! There is usually a limit to how many products may be purchased with an in-ad coupon. These limits are per household, per DAY.

Yes, the Frenchs mustard coupon is there. Click the link you provided. Then go to coupon savings. Then click the tab for "Food" and it's 50 cents off. The yellow standard kind is one of those pictured. Yea — free mustard!

And thank goodness for the Coffeemate deal — been out for 5 days, 'cause I was holding out for my "buy" price of 99 cents with coupons. Yipee — no more just milk in the coffee!

Vons Report (and another deal idea):

* Watch the Stain Release. Didn't come off for me, but P&G is great about just crediting the amount to your card when you send an email through its site, showing you bought the correct product.

* Lean Cuisine idea — The new Lean Cuisine Market Creations are at an introductory price of $2.99. Use the recent Facebook coupon for BOGO (I printed it twice-Bricks). $1.50 each and get $2 oyno Catalina for a final price of $1 each. The Catalina offer runs through Sunday 9/5

Vons over charged $6.86 today watch your receipts
If you call Vons CS you will find out that none of your P&G e coupons are showing up on the Vons club card screen even though they are showing up on your P&G esaver screen. CS told me to print the list of coupons that are waiting to be redeemed and take it back to the store with my receipt for a refund.
This is how and what I was over charged on
Ben&Jerry bought (3) $2.00 cat didn't print
Mott's applesauce cups tagged 2/$5 rang up at 2/$5.98
Sobe bogo didn't take of the free one so $.88
Tide stain release $3.00 eq didn't come off
My total should have been $36.83 -$2.00cat-$4.00=$30.83
Total value $80.60
Total saved $46.20

I want to confirm what Dee said. I only used the Tide P&G coupon, and it did not come off. I submitted the info to P&G Thursday, and they had me send the receipt Friday. Hopefully it will be resolved Tuesday. In the past, P&G just credited the amount directly to my club card. I will report back.

Just returned from my Vons trip – spent $32.68, saved $58.79, or 64%.
I bought 7 Lean Cuisines and didn't receive the cat. :( I wonder if the Market Creations didn't count toward it? I bought four of them with the BOGO FB offer, and three regular meals. Also had two $1 off 2 coupons that had printed from Ralphs.
Any ideas? Can I contact the catalina company, or is it more hassle than it's worth?
I wouldn't have bought the additional three meals if I'd known I wouldn't have rec'd the cat.

Just got back from Vons in Oceanside… The checker said that they would no longer be accepting more than one internet coupon. And I asked if she meant one like coupon, but she said no, one coupon total. What!?! Anyone else heard that?

Some Vons cashiers drive me absolutely bananas with the misinformation they give! They love to make rules up on the fly over there. According to the Vons Official Coupon Policy, that “new” rule does not exist. I usually like to carry the policy with me while shopping at Vons or if I don’t have it on hand, I always ask to see the rule they are talking about in writing. Usually they’re not able to produce it because it’s something they made up on their own.
