Vons: FREE Marinated Artichoke Hearts + More Unadvertised Finds

by Jess on September 4, 2010

Today I swung by Vons to verify a hot tip from Sheryl, who blogs at Cents’Able Shoppin,  regarding a new coupon booklet available at Vons located in the Produce area. It’s called Fresh Ideas Magazine, and inside the August 2010 issue (pictured above) are manufacturer coupons that may be redeemed at Safeway family stores. I found these hanging out on a small table near the onions, but look around because they are super easy to miss.

So what’s the big deal about this little magazine? Well, if you find it you’ll be able to score FREE marinated artichoke hearts at Vons! These can also be found in the produce section.

Cara Mia Marinated Artichoke Hearts, 6.5-oz. | $1.00 (until 9/7)
- 50¢/1 from Fresh Ideas Magazine, August
Final Price: FREE!

Another great find Sheryl spotted, and I was able to verify today at Vons, is Kozy Shack Rice Pudding which is currently on sale for only $1.09! Here’s how you can snag a tub for only 9¢:

Kozy Shack Chocolate Pudding, 6-oz. | $1.09
- 55¢/1 from SS 6/6
Final Price: 9¢

Check out the rest of the deals at Vons this week here!

(Thanks, Cents’Able Shoppin)

Sig – Vons in Southern CA doubles coupons up to 50¢, which means this coupon now becomes $1/1 making the artichokes free :)

The artichoke coupon specifically says do not double, and mine didn't, which made it .50 for the jar.

Peggy did you purchase it at Vons?

If so, it should have doubled despite the "Do not double" language on the coupon. A lot of coupons will say this, but it's up to a stores discretion on whether or not they will still double it. Coupons that have a bar code that begins with the number 5 will always double, as long as it's in line with a stores double coupon policy.

I purchased this jar at Vons and the coupon doubled, making it free.

Darn it — I want this booklet! (I couldn't find the Sandwich one either). Guess I will look again when I go back this week.
