Couponing for a Cause!

by Jess on November 18, 2010

Whether you are a seasoned coupon shopper or just starting out, one of the first things you realize is that it’s pretty easy to score free items each week by pairing a coupon with a sale. Sure it’s fun to stash those away for yourself, but why not use your couponing talent to give back to those in your community that are in need?

Each week I’ll be posting three items that are FREE or under a dollar after coupon at CVS, Target, Ralphs & Vons. While out doing your normal grocery shopping, I encourage you to pick one or two (or more!) of these items and donate them to your local food bank, church, shelter, or friend or family member in need.

It’s an easy way to make a difference this holiday season!

I love that I can help out my sisters especially when money is tight. I had them over bags of things incl. toiletries that in turn will be one less thing they have to worry about.

@anon - It's showing up for me….what browser are you using?

@Deborah - You're welcome! My hope is to do this small round-up weekly as a reminder of how truly easy it is to GIVE to those in need. One small item each week over the course of the year really does add up and make a big difference :)

@EGriffin - Being able to bless your sister with items that she needs while doing something you love is just awesome.

I love this! Using my couponing skills to be able to donate when we are on a tight budget is something I have been focusing on lately. Every little thing counts!
