Walmart: Tramontina Cast Iron Dutch Oven $33 (Normally $129.99!)

by Jess on November 28, 2010

I’ve been eyeing dutch ovens for well over a year now so I nearly squealed with glee when I came across this deal for a Tramontina 6.5-Quart Cast Iron Dutch Oven in red for only $33 over at Walmart. It also is available in Green. All of the reviews appear glowing, and shipping is FREE if you have them ship it to a store near you. Or, if you’re like me and prefer to not step foot in a crowded Walmart store during the holiday shopping season, shipping is only $3.97.

Out of curiosity I checked the price for the exact model over on Amazon and they are selling it for $76.45 with free shipping. The list price on this model is $129.99, so the Walmart price is 74% off!

Head on over to the Walmart website to check it out if you’re interested. I’m not sure how long they’ll have it priced so low, but many of these deals are selling out fast so I wouldn’t delay.

Can I just say how much I love my Dutch oven? A lot. Google Dutch oven bread recipes when you get yours. Yum.

i already have a cast iron made by lodge, but i was curious about these painted ones. what is the colored surface made of… porcelain (the colored area) or what and is the inside a colored enamel as well or is it iron? i was wondering because the reason i use iron is for the nutrition content of the iron itself (as instructed by my doc and recommended by dr. oz for anemia)… hmm anyone know?

Anela: Hmmm….good question. According to the item description, it looks like the inside is a porcelain enamel off-white coating for easy cooking and cleanup.
