Rare Lowe’s Coupon: Save $10 off a $50 Purchase

by Jess on March 31, 2011

Lowe's CouponWoohoo! If you have any projects going on around the house, Lowe’s just released a super rare $10 off a $50 Lowe’s purchase coupon! You should see it in a rotating banner on their homepage.

The coupon can be used both in-store and online. If you shop online you can also save on shipping by picking your order up at the store.

My boyfriend is in the final stages of purchasing his first home so we’ve been scouring the ads and looking for coupons like these to help him with the huge list of repairs & upgrades he has coming his way :) Speaking of, anyone have any hot tips or suggestions for saving money on purchasing flooring (wood & carpet)?

(Thanks, The Prudent Patron)

My tip is to not buy carpet at Home Depot or Lowes. The reason being is that they subcontract out installation, raising its cost. Try for a discount carpet place. It’s definitely worth the price comparing.

Thanks for the tip, Harry! We have someone that can install the carpet & wood flooring (professionally) so it’s the actual materials we’re on the hunt for a good bargain on. We’ll definitely check out discount carpet stores, great idea.

Oh that’s great, Jess. Then you can go to Home Depot. Another tip: Open a new Home Depot charge card (no interest for 6 months), and they will give you a $50 credit on your first purchase. But tell your boyfriend not to do so until he closes escrow on the property, because the new lending guidelines call for a new credit report before close of escrow to be run on some type loans.
