{Expired} Mother’s Day Giveaway #2: Chicken Noodle Soup, Ladle & Apron from Spoonful of Comfort

Spoonful of Comfort Giveaway***This Giveaway Has Ended***

Whenever I think of chicken soup I am always taken back to memories of my mom making me soup as a child to feel better. It’s the ultimate comfort food!

Spoonful of Comfort delivers fresh, homemade chicken noodle soup made in small batches & sent upon order using all natural ingredients that are preservative & additive free. Whether a friend far away is feeling sad or sick, a kiddo in college is missing home, or you want to pamper a new mom with a homemade meal, a batch of handmade chicken noodle soup will not only fill their tummy, it will also warm their heart :)

Spoonful of Comfort began in 2007 when founder, Marti, discovered her mother Mona (who lived in Canada) had been diagnosed with Lung Cancer. Helpless and feeling like she needed to “do something” Marti, who lived in Florida & felt helpless living so far away, looked into sending flowers or fruit but couldn’t find anything that seemed appropriate. She wanted to comfort her mother, and immediately thought of chicken soup. After all, like many mothers, that’s what her mother always made to comfort her.

Spoonful of Comfort Chicken Soup
Marti was kind enough to send some of her famous chicken noodle soup my way & boy oh boy was I excited!  When I opened the box I was immediately taken aback by the careful attention to detail that went into preparing my shipment – it even included a personalized handwritten note! The soup was packaged for temperature control and safety with insulated liners and gel packs to ensure that the soup remained chilled throughout the delivery cycle. In fact, my soup was still nearly frozen having made the trip from Utah to California.

Each (huge!) 64-ounce jar of homemade chicken noodle soup yields 4 to 6 large servings & can be described in one word: YUMMM-O! It definitely stands up to my homemade soup and that’s saying a lot. Needless to say I polished off the jar very, very quickly ;) Sure the soup is a bit on the pricey side ($34), but when you stop to consider how much sending flowers are these days, the price can’t be beat!

Sending homemade soup is one of those gifts that definitely goes beyond the expected & shows you care. For an additional $6 you can even snag half a dozen made from scratch rolls or oatmeal/chocolate chip cookies! Plus, a portion of the proceeds from every purchase of Spoonful of Comfort Chicken soup also go to help the American Cancer Society.

  • 1 Flirty Apron
  • 1 Soup Ladle
  • 1 Jar of Chicken Soup, 64-oz. (4-6 servings)
