I’m a big fan of meal planning. Not only does it help you save money, but it can also cut down on some serious meal-time stress. Having a plan will also help you better utilize your stockpile and save you time.

Food on the Table is a FREE meal-planning service that finds the best in-store sales at grocery stores in your area (minus coupon match-ups, but come over here for those ;) ) and matches those sale items up to meal ideas based on the mood you are in. How awesome is that?!

Once your meal is planned, Food on the Table will also prepare a shopping list based off the ingredients in the recipes chosen. So if say, 3 of your meals require eggs, their cumulative list will show you the required amount of eggs needed to make ALL your recipes. So very cool.

Did I mention it’s FREE??? Click the banner above to sign up!

Broccoli Cheese SoupWith the weather turning colder (well, aside from last week when it nearly hit 100 degrees), I’ve been dying to start making homemade soup again. Soups are so easy to make and usually pretty frugal. I always make a double batch freeze the rest for later.

RecipeLion released a new FREE download of their e-Cookbook, 38 Best Soup Recipes & Hearty Stews. I’m excited to try:

  • Arlene’s Slow Cooker Potato Soup
  • Slow Cooker Mexican Soup
  • Hearty Basil & Bean Soup
  • Marlboro Chuckwagon Stew
  • All in One Fiesta Stew
